Taffy Doughnuts 1954 Recipe + Malted Coffee 1940s Recipe

When you are having writer’s block…divert everyone’s attention with something yummy!

Come for coffee and enjoy these wonderful doughnuts!

Taffy Doughnuts

2 Bags of Doughnut balls
Finely chopped walnuts
*Syrup Recipe*
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Combine the syrup ingredients and boiling until it starts to thicken
Let syrup cool enough to dip doughnut balls, then roll in chopped walnuts.

Malted Coffee

Pour 8 oz of brewed coffee into cup
Add 2-3 TBSP of malted milk powder
Sugar to taste
Cream to taste
Stir to dissolve.

These recipes are inexpensive and easy to make.  A great way to “dress up” a couple bags of doughnut balls and really make a delicious treat to go with your coffee!
