Here is a yummy cake to try over the weekend.
It is super quick and super easy and costs about $4.00!
And of course…you should serve it on vintage dishes. I chose a Fire King snack set for mine!
Ginger-Pear Cake
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can pear halves (Light or heavy syrup, depending on preference)
1 package Gingerbread mix
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter in 9 x 9 pan, in the oven. When butter is melted, blend in brown sugar. Place pears on top of sugar. Mix gingerbread according to box directions and pour over pears. Bake about 40 minutes. When cooled, cut into squares and serve upside down with whipped topping or ice cream. Makes 6 servings.
Happy munching!
