When you’re shopping at thrift stores or second hand shops, undoubtedly, you’ll find the odd numbered set of glasses.

It can be a bit frustrating, but if you look at it a different way, it’s a gold mine.

The reason you’re finding a set of 5 wine glasses is because one got broken and it’s not a complete set anymore.

Instead of being bummed out about finding an incomplete set of 6….you can look at it as finding a complete set of 4 plus an extra for when the inevitable happens and one gets broken.

I always buy the extra glass.

For whatever reason, I never seem to be able to get a set of glasses home without breaking or chipping one and once in a while I’ll get them home and discover one has some damage that I didn’t see in the store.

Always buy the extra glass!
