Vintage Recipes: 1940s Jams, Jellies and Pickles

In the 1940’s our government wanted everyone to plant a Victory Garden to help keep our families healthy during the war.  Many decades later, it is still a good idea to grow your own food and enjoy the bounty of your own garden!

Summer always makes me think of canning and making jams.  Here are some Jam, Jelly and Pickle recipes from “A Modern Kitchen Guide”, published in 1946.

Hope you have fun trying out the recipes!
